After graduating, my first employment was for this medium-sized web agency and ISP that provided new media solutions for a diverse range of clients. The majority of my time was spent designing and developing ASP based websites and MS SQL Server databases. Other tasks included: web server administration; domain name registration; site usage analysis; and, client liaison.

My main tasking was to develop JavaScript and DHTML based interactive television games that were played on DTV Navigator set-top-boxes for the ntl and Telewest cable networks. I particularly enjoyed this role as I was able to contribute significantly to the more creative side of software development and was given the opportunity to gain new skills in graphic design.

In addition to games development I was also the Webmaster for the organisation’s corporate website, and provided technical consultancy to the marketing department.
